The Noble False Widow, scientifically known as Steatoda nobilis, is a spider species often mistaken for the more dangerous black widow due to its similar appearance. Native to Madeira and the Canary Islands, it has spread to various parts of the world, where it is known for its distinctive brownish body and cream-colored markings. While its bite is mildly venomous, it rarely poses a serious threat to humans, though it can cause localized pain and swelling.
